Christabelle Davison Allen
Morrisville-Christabelle Davison Allen passed into eternity on December 14, 2014, after a seven year struggle with Alzheimer’s. Her life was dedicated to her siblings, nieces and nephews, children and grandchildren. She placed their needs above her own, without hesitation. She was always willing to listen and fix up a cup of tea and some cookies.
Christabelle was born in Woodbury on October 12, 1930 to Carroll and Sadie (Pickett) Davison; siblings, Joe Delton and Roy Davison; Dena Putvain and Lois Williams all predeceased her. She married the love of her life, Albert Allen on May 12, 1950 and began a family. She worked many odd jobs, including helping on the family farm and taking in foster children. Fostering children and elderly would become one of her passions for over the next fifty years. In the 70s she cared for her ailing mother and then opened Allen’s Country Care Home in Morristown, which she operated for 25 years before retiring.
Christabelle loved traveling in the RV to visit family and attend the grandchildren’s sporting or musical events, even if it meant driving many hours to see a 20 minute production. If one of her grandchildren invited her, she made every effort to be there.
She leaves behind her sons, Larry, David and Michael; her daughters, Hazel Bourdeau, Tammy Laota and Dena Keith; her deeply adored grandchildren, Gregory, Catherine, Edward, Rebecca, Davida, Jessica, Jason, Alexander, Bradley (Allen), Dawna, Diane, Kirstie, Michael (Bourdeau & Frechette) Melissa and Jennifer (Whalon), Daniel, Morgan & Ashley (Hunter) Crystal, Chad, Kyle (Hess), Deidre, Turner, Kayden, Emberly, Theo, Uriah, Elliot and Harrison (Keith) and numerous nieces , nephews, and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert, in March 2014; her precious granddaughter, Michelle Fox in August of 2014 and two beautiful daughters, Rhoda Whalon and Gail Hunter.
